 Carver Equip Spam

Today was my turn to be spammed by Carver. I am registered @ this site, Yesterday's Tractors, and Ag Online. This is the only forum of the 3 that I have seen ads or posts from Carver. Tell me again how jplan doesn't supply e-mail lists to those who buy ad space from them.

These messages are interesting, to say the least. I participate in this forum and on Tractorbynet, and Steve Carver has answered a lot of questions for folks (I'm not sure, but I think more so on Tractorbynet than here), and I've e-mailed questions to him and gotten very good answers. In other words, it seems to me that he's been most helpful to anyone who asked. And I like his web site; lots of good information in addition to the sales ads. I did not buy my tractor from him, in fact, bought it before I even knew of him, but I have ordered manuals and filters from him, and they arrived promptly via UPS. And like most of you, I get unsolicited sales pitches via e-mail every day BUT NEVER ONE FROM CARVER! And while I'd just as soon not get the ones I do get, from other sources, it doesn't take me long to click on the delete button.

RickB. I still do not think jplan sold our e-mails. I recieved an e-mail from CARVER EQUIP. in responce to my complaint of the spam problem. I did not save the e-mail but did forward it to the webmaster of this site and he may feel free to post it if he still has it. The e-mail had many ramblings in it one of which I remember was that CARVER EQUIP. has the practice of taking e-mails (such as yours and mine that we allow everyone to see when we post a message or reply) it visits and uses them for advertising. I hope this sheds some light on jplan not being the culprit. David

I have never recieved any spam from them and I have posted many messages on this board. So maybe you are just lucky. I have never contacted them directally, have you? If you email them questions they may save your email and use it, just a thought.

Don't be too hard on Steve. Send him an e-mail and I am sure he will remove you from the mailings. I find them interesting, although I have already bought a tractor and was thinking about buying another one in about 2030 or so. Hit the delete key and keep trucking. Steve has answered many questions and has an excellent FAQ for new tractor owners that should be required reading.

If I remember correctly, I did recieve an email from Carver. I do not mind as it is potentially useful - unlike make money fast, build oyur own cable converter, free investment advice [pumpo & dump], porno site solicitations and dozens of others.

You would think that if Carver Equipment sent out an e-mail advertising things for sale that they would at least answer the questions I e-mailed back!!
I WANT to spend money and they don't answer!!

Klay, have you seen on Carver's web site, or seen messages he's posted elsewhere, about their server having lost a large quantity of e-mail messages, for which Steve apologizes and asks that those who received no answer (because he never received their e-mails) to repeat their inquiry?
